The Princesses
Friday night we put on a 'Princess Party' for the older girls! It was a blast! Each maiden dressed up, and fixed a magnificent dessert to share. After eating, we all dressed in our comfy pajamas and headed down to the basement to play a wild game of spoons, learn the Patti-Cake Polka, The Virginia Reel and other amazing dances, and finally, we curled up on the couches with our pillows and blankets to watch Ever After before bed.
The party was also an early birthday party for Annie, (she will be 17 in two weeks) and the girls presented her with such beautiful gifts. She was very very excited. =]
*Stay tuned to the blog, pictures of the game of Spoons, and line dancing soon to appear.*

Hey everyone!

Whew, sorry we haven't posted in so long. Things have been busy, busy, busy around here! The Campbell house has been abuzz with activity. Hopefully the sprinkling of photos will give you an idea of what's been up. A little update: The weather has been incredible--over 80 degrees nearly every day! Can't get enough of it. There has been several birthdays among the grandchildren, and we've also been having fun working on a project-- a movie set in the Civil War era! We've been busy getting filming done--you can see some of our photos from a filming afternoon at the Allisons.
Work in the office has been pretty steady. I've been sewing aprons again, as there is a special request for them at an upcoming retreat. Loretta, Jessica, and Annie and Mercy have all done a bit of sewing too!
In our spare time we girls have been filming, singing together (we were able to sing a song for church last Sunday!), taking walks, and enjoying the occasional movie. ;) We're all trying to enjoy our last couple weeks here, and use our time in a way that's pleasing to the Lord!

Hope y'all enjoy the pictures! God bless!

The White Way of Delight. A.k.a the Campbell's lawn. :)
Mrs. Campbell and sweet little Breeze.

The children had a ball climbing amidst the blossoms--shaking the branches to make the petals flutter down like a heavenly, swirling rain.

Oh--and some treats that were sent from our sweet, sweet family at home! Yay!
Happy Easter everyone--Jesus is alive!
This morning before church, we girls decided to do an Easter photo shoot out by the Campbell's beautiful blossoming trees. We had fun posing! Hope y'all enjoy the photos.
The Easter service this morning was so beautiful--there was a real atmosphere of joy in the room, and just a spirit of worship to JESUS CHRIST! He is so incredibly powerful and mighty, and awesome! We have so much to be thankful for...we've been given the gift of eternal life.
It was a beautiful day!

Aw, they're delightful!

The last rays of light
Last Saturday after--ahem!--sleeping in a bit, we girls donned backpacks and went out for a long walk in the great outdoors. The sun was glorious, the breeze delicious, and we were eager to hike! We first tromped quite a ways down the road, hunting for a path Mrs. Campbell had told us about. We couldn't find it, so we turned and after hiking quite a while in the opposite direction, we finally found it. :) We ended up going along it for quite a while. Up, up, up a long winding trail, over a stream and through lots of trees. The sky was incredibly blue, and the area was just gorgeous! Pretty soon we felt very far away from all civilization. (Which wasn't so, but it was an exciting feeling. ;) None of us even had cell-phones with us! Ha ha. We knew we could always use smoke signals or some other method of getting help if we really needed it.
After hunting around for a while, we found a good spot for our picnic. We all felt really blessed--it was so nice to just sit and enjoy the sun and the beautiful day!
When we finally arrived back at the Campbell's, we decided to drop off our stuff and then take a walk to Serene's before it got dark. That was a lovely walk also! We got to see the horses and goats and puppies--so sweet! And it was fun visiting Serene and all the Allison children too.
We at last got back to the Campbell's just before the sun went down. Rather sore and tired, but thankful for a great day! Jesus, you are incredible!
