The Bluebird Cafe

The Bluebird Cafe

The Sunday after we went to Franklin, the Campbells were still out of town, we went to New River with the Henningsen family. That was the first time we got to hear Michael W. Smith lead worship there. After church, we went with the Henningsens to "Blue Coast Burrito." I had some really yummy fish tacos there. I am a bit of a Mexican food fanatic! After our lunch, Lauren and Chloe decided to go back to the Campbell's house in one of the Henningsen's vehicles. The Henningsen family, who sing really great Country Music, were going to be singing at the famous Bluebird Cafe that evening. Lindsey and I decided to go along. I am always ready for an adventure! That afternoon we just hung out at Aaron and Eilyn Henningsen's house with the family, sat and sat on the couch and listened to music practice. When we got to the Bluebird cafe, it was extremely packed with people. We stood outside with others for awhile waiting to get in. The cool thing is that they had speakers outside, so we could see the performers and hear them. That helped to take our minds off the really cold weather. We finally managed to get in and sit on a crowded wooden pew with some other people. It was "Writer's Night" at the Bluebird cafe. There were quite a few people to sing before the Henningsens took the stage. They did absolutely wonderful! One of the absolute best there! Jeremy Spillman was there also, as a guest. He is the writer of the country song,"Arlington." He even sang it for everyone there. Many people are "discovered" at the Bluebird Cafe, so it is quite the Nashville experience. After we left, we stopped at "Crystals" to have little slider hamburgers. It was quite an adventurous evening, perfect for our Adventure-loving souls!
